Need Help? Start Here.
If you or someone you encounter is in need of support, please know that help is available 24/7. Understanding which number to call ensures that everyone gets the right help at the right time:
-
Dial 2-1-1: Call or text 211 if you are looking for community, social, or government services. This is the "front door" for help with housing, emergency shelter, food security, mental health supports, and addiction recovery. It is free, confidential, and available in over 150 languages.
-
Dial 9-1-1: Call 911 only for life-threatening emergencies, a crime in progress, or immediate medical crises (such as an overdose or physical injury).
Not sure where to turn? Call 211. Their navigators are trained to listen to your situation and connect you directly with the local Annapolis Valley resources listed on this page.
